WordPress for iPhone just hit the Apple iTunes App Store. This is exactly the application I was waiting for. It’s a lot more full-featured than I expected it to be. You can do practically every essential posting operation right from your iPhone… and that’s exactly what I’m doing right now.

Obviously the iPhone (and iPod Touch) is more than a simple communications device. It’s a full fledged computing platform. But until third party applications were available for it, the device failed to live up to its potential. Now, with the release of the 2.0 firmware and the opening of the Apple Applications Store, it’s finally a complete product. I’ve already downloaded a half dozen new applications for it. My iPhone is now the PDA/phone/media player I’ve wanted it to be from day one.
